Seasonal Allergies

The fall season may be enjoyable for some, but for others allergies are at an all time high. For those living in Indiana, with each season change comes severe allergies. Ragweed, pollen and mold fill the air and lead to horrible itchy eyes and runny noses, which in turn cause exhaustion and difficulty sleeping. There are several ways to fight air contaminants that go far beyond avoiding the outdoors and dusting and vacuuming on a daily basis. It’s time to put your Swiffer and starting breathing normally again! (Insert sigh of relief here)

The best way to reduce the impact of seasonal allergies is to make sure your HVAC system is in the best condition possible. This includes the filters, the cleanliness of the ducts, and the amount you run your system.  Having your system checked and cleaned on an annual basis can help tremendously for those suffering from severe allergies. Even those who don’t suffer from allergies can benefit for a thorough cleaning!

Why Choose Trane Products?

With a new season upon us and winter time maintenance starting, often times we at Poorman’s Heating and Air Conditioning get questioned as to why we choose Trane products for heating and cooling homes in the Fort Wayne area?

For starters, we wouldn’t choose a company or brand we didn’t find reliable or efficient for our customers.  All Trane products are tested in labs using what they call the SEET method (Systems Extreme Environmental Test). These tests consist of putting all the Trane products through extreme hot and cold temperatures for up to two weeks at a time to ensure they withstand the elements.  Products making it through the SEET method will then be produced and sold with the honorable Trane name.
